Meet Alexander in 8th Grade

Alexander in 8th Grade

Get to know Alexander, a wonderful 8th grader who values the deep importance of community and friendship.

My name is Alexander and I started attending Holy Redeemer in the second grade.

We asked Alexander what he likes about Holy Redeemer Catholic School and he responded by saying “I really like how teachers always help us no matter what. They always put us first. Everyone is very kind and friendly.”

Alexander also shared that he really enjoys the variety of field trips that Holy Redeemer offers, making learning fun and engaging. He said “Each field trip is really thought through and they try to make it as fun as possible for everyone.”

We then asked Alexander if there are any memories that really stand out to him from his time in Holy Redeemer. He replied: “In the 6th grade we went bowling and we had to go in different groups to bowl. I didn't have a group. Mateo (He was our December 8th grade spotlight student!) saw this and joined my group. When others saw, a few of them joined him as well so that I would have a group to bowl with.” Alexander shared that friendships have been a very important part of his time at Holy Redeemer. He stated that “When anything goes wrong you will always have a friend here who will lend a hand.” Our students understand that becoming a Disciple of Christ requires a community. Friendships are vital for growth and Alexander is an example of this.
