Meet our 8th Graders: Andy

We asked Andy, one of our wonderful 8th graders, “What is something that you’ve learned or something that you appreciate about Holy Redeemer Catholic School?”

He answered:

“My teachers have taught me a lot throughout the years. They have taught me to go to Mass every Sunday and go to Confession.

 As they encouraged me and taught me to grow in my relationship with God, I began helping others to grow in their own faith. When I did my first communion I felt like I had a very strong relationship with God. I learned more about my faith and it made me think about my cousin who was not very close to his faith. I began to teach him prayers, about our faith, and about our God. 

I was later invited to join the retreat team at Holy Redeemer and it had a big impact on me. I learned about how to be more prayerful, how to be a better role model, and how to be a leader. This has made me think even more deeply about how I can help others to grow in faith and get closer to God.”
