I started my career in education with the public school system. I was the Family Involvement Specialist for many of those 29 years. I switched to teaching kindergarten for the last seven years at the school. After retiring, the Lord led me back to teaching... here at Holy Redeemer.

I am beginning my 5th year with Holy Redeemer.

I graduated from Eastern Michigan University.

I was born and raised in River Rouge, Michigan.

Hobbies:

For fun and relaxation I enjoy reading, walking, and yoga.

Proudest Teaching Moments:

What I love about teaching is helping students develop a love of learning by introducing them to so many new educational experiences. With kindergarten, almost everything is a new experience! It's exciting to see their joy of discovery. It's amazing - the growth they make over the course of the school year.

What do you love about Holy Redeemer?

Teaching at Holy Redeemer has been such a positive experience for me. I work with wonderfully kind, caring, and helpful co-workers/friends. And the students of HR are the best! While my heart is with the kindergarteners, so many students here at HR are willing to share their time and talent with us. They have been our reading buddies and church partners and have assisted with our ELA and math activities, all with such patience and kindness. This is a school filled with great role models. I just feel so blessed to be a teacher at Holy Redeemer.
